What is Top dressing?

Topdressing is applying a thin layer of soil or finely granulated organic materials over the turf surface.

Why?

By Topdressing your pitch regularly it can smooth out bumps caused by worm castings and it also encourages a dense, lush grass.

When?

Usually in the autumn.
